We are a boy-led troop, offering a Scouting program with emphasis on camping and outdoor skills. Our Scouts actively practice the leadership skills they'll use as adults.  All boys age 11 to 17, in grades 6 or higher, are welcome to join us or to visit a meeting.   Please contact our Committee Chairman or Scoutmaster to arrange your visit to a meeting - we believe you'll become one of our newest members.

  • Next campout is March 26/27 at Sequassen
    Meet time & pick up at Seq: to be announced at 3/15 mtg
    We will be going to US ninja https://www.ninjasouthington.com/. There is a 15 scout maximum. Adults may be needed to help drive to and from program on Saturday . Scouts and adults may attend for just the day. If space allows, non Troop 42 siblings may participate.
    Adults need to fill out the waivers in advance for each scout to participate.
    Scouts must wear a short sleeve t-shirt, shorts & bare feet to participate. Please bring a water bottle.
    Cost will be: $15 per scout for program
    + $10 for dinner & breakfast. Please bring a bagged lunch & snack. Patrols will create menus at the 3/15 meeting.
    Sign-ups, money and all plc camp paperwork will be due at the March 15 meeting.

  • Beginning on Monday, January 28, 2019, after-school access to the middle and high school will be restricted to the main entrance of the high school. All other exterior doors, including those used to enter the gym and cafeteria lobby, will be locked.
  • When a weekly scout meeting calls for "Uniform: Class B", All scouts are expected to wear the appropriate Class B uniform with no exceptions. This will be strictly enforced going forward.  A Class B uniform consists of a scouting tee-shirt or other troop or camp shirt and Scout pants or shorts. Uniforms can be purchased from the official on line store or a local store
  • The Troop Controlled Substance Policy is now available
