Welcome To Troop 42 of New Fairfield!

sponsored by the New Fairfield Lions Club, and a member of the Scatacook District of the Connecticut Yankee Council, Boy Scouts of America.

We are a boy-led troop, offering a Scouting program with emphasis on camping and outdoor skills. Our Scouts actively practice the leadership skills they'll use as adults.  All boys age 11 to 17, in grades 6 or higher, are welcome to join us or to visit a meeting.   Please contact our Committee Chairman or Scoutmaster to arrange your visit to a meeting - we believe you'll become one of our newest members.

  • Scouts 16 years and older (under 21 must be accompanied by an adult) you may be interested in the Scatacook District Shooting Sports Day scheduled for October 27, 2018 at Hoyt Scout Camp.  The program is staffed by NRA/ USA Archery Certified Instructors and RSOs.  This is a District sponsored event and registration should be completed directly by interested families.   • When a weekly scout meeting calls for "Uniform: Class B", All scouts are expected to wear the appropriate Class B uniform with no exceptions. This will be strictly enforced going forward.  A Class B uniform consists of a scouting tee-shirt or other troop or camp shirt and Scout pants or shorts. Uniforms can be purchased from the official on line store or a local store
  • The Troop Controlled Substance Policy is now available
