Join Us!

We are a boy-led troop, offering a Scouting program with emphasis on camping and outdoor skills. Our Scouts actively practice the leadership skills they'll use as adults.  All boys age 11 to 17, in grades 6 or higher, are welcome to join us or to visit a meeting.   Please contact our Committee Chairman or Scoutmaster to arrange your visit to a meeting - we believe you'll become one of our newest members.

News You Can Use:

  • Our annual Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee's is scheduled for March 14.  You should now be selling the tickets you received at the Court of Honor.  If you have any questions, please contact the coordinators
  • The Dorothy Day collection of food, blankets, and clothing will run the month of February.  Food  items needed include: canned vegetables, peanut butter, cookies, powdered drink mixes, ketchup, mustard, canned soup, gravy, and canned fruit. Blanket and clothing items needed are twin size blankets (no wool), socks, hats, gloves and long underwear.  
    Patrols will receive points based on what they collect and bring in. If you have any questions, contact the Dorothy Day collection coordinator
  • Merit Badge College continues on Mar. 24 and Apr 8 with the badges below.  Please contact the merit badge coordinator if you have any questions.
    • Digital Technology and Moviemaking (scouts will actually work on 2 badges)
    • Wilderness Survival
    • Personal Fitness
    • Safety - All  NEW scouts that just bridged into the top will be working on this badge
    • Family Life OR Communications
    • Photography
    • Personal Management - Scouts signing up for this badge must currently be in high school
  • Troop 42 Class B Sweatshirts from the Salesmanship Merit Badge are still available for $25 each. Contact the sweatshirt coordinator if you would like a sweatshirt or have any questions
  • If you're interested in Youth Leader Training in April, contact the scoutmaster.
  • Stay warm and comfortable as we camp in the cold weather by reviewing the Tips for Cold Weather Camping.

  • Annual dues are now due!  Bring your $80 annual dues to a troop meeting.  If paying dues will cause a financial hardship, please speak to the Troop Treasurer.  No boy will be refused because of financial hardship.
  • Parents of new Scouts are encourage to review the Parents page, especially the  Parents Welcome Letter and Handout and the Troop Information and Handbook.
